Welcome To Glion - Dress Code

Future Glioners, are you ready? Struggling with your suitcases? Struggling with the dress code?
Fair enough! Let’s try to put down the main points together! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Excited to start your new adventure?

First thing first, S1 is about Practical Arts; you will have the opportunity to learn and practice in a real kitchen๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿฝ‍๐Ÿณ, serving as a waiter/waitress and bartender in the fully renewed Bellevue restaurant, Skyline bar and Fresh restaurant, working at the Front Desk and as concierge, and also as housekeeper. You will have a complete insight of  the daily operations of a Hotel!

For Practical Arts, uniform will be provided to you upon arrival๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ: however you are required to have your own:

 Black classical leather shoes

Tips for ladies  ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿผ: we know how many nice shoes there are around..! However, trust me, you will not go far with a fancy pair (unfortunately this is the truth!). During your vacations, try to notice the shoes that a flight assistant has on a plane, or in a reception lobby. The point of the shoe usually is round, the heels are low and wide; this is also to guarantee you more stability in the restaurant. And again, you will wear it for 8 hours per day (even longer during your internship), so make sure to try them carefully and have two different pairs; it’s important to change the shoes now and then, your feet will definitely hurt less ๐Ÿ˜„

Personal suggestion: You can bring perhaps white simple T-shirts to wear under the kitchen uniform or housekeeping uniform

Men are NOT allowed to wear beards during Practical Arts

Ladies must tie back long hair in a chignon ๐Ÿ‘ฑ๐Ÿผ‍♀️(nail polish ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿผshould be removed during when working in the kitchen)

Uniforms are changed every day

(Tip: Evaluation of Practical Arts also takes in consideration motivation, adaptability, perseverance, initiative, general appearance, team spirit and self-control) ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
